James Joins JFL!

JFL has a new team member! We are thrilled to announce that James McGeown is joining our team as Graduate Consultant. James comes to us straight from a Master’s degree in Shakespeare Studies. He will be working from Graduate to JAE level alongside Chloe, who is also starting as Graduate Consultant.

We asked James a few questions so you can get to know him better.

Tell us your JFL story

I originally moved to London for my degree in English at QMUL and three years later I decided to stay in London for an MA at King’s. My academic background is in theatre and I was based out of Shakespeare’s Globe last year. In the theatre I discovered that I loved talking to people and that I was interested in the PR and communications industries. When I discovered the Graduate Consultant role it seemed great for both my skills and interests.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am originally from Scotland but now I call London home. I love poetry; as a student I wrote and performed poetry for audiences regularly. I look forward to winter because that means ski season is coming!

Why JFL?

I was sold on JFL as soon as I spoke to the team. I got to meet almost everyone during interviews and they really got me excited about the role. I knew almost immediately that this is somewhere I would fit in. I was extremely impressed by the office and the diverse client list that JFL works with.

What are you looking forward to most?

I’m looking forward to meeting and talking to a diverse range of clients and candidates and helping to match people with jobs they’ll be excited to go to.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself

I am a classically trained baritone singer.
