Responsibilities
• Work across a number of client teams; develop client relationships, attend client calls and contribute, take accurate notes from client and internal meetings
• Write for different audiences, adapting style accordingly
• Prepare first draft of client materials to a high standard, working into senior team members
• Present ideas confidently, internally and to clients
• Proactively stay on top of industry trends and have a good understanding of client competitors
• Conduct media monitoring. This may include client news, competitor developments, political developments and prepare timely analysis to develop advisory voice and input into discussions. Take first draft of stakeholder mapping exercises
• Identify and engage with journalists/stakeholders and assist with relationship building (e.g. briefing documents). Lead on creating media lists.
• Conduct digital monitoring and make use of listening tools
• Actively contribute during internal meetings and brainstorms
• Proactively manage up and down to manage smooth running of accounts and manage day to day deliverables
• Support new business pitches through research and contribute to document creation
• Networking internally and externally
Essential skills and experience
• Excellent writing skills
• Demonstrable experience working in a PR agency, or comms role
• Experience in developing relationships with clients or key stakeholders
• A genuine interest in business, current affairs and the media
• Experience in media monitoring and analysis
• Demonstrable experience in media relations and/ or stakeholder engagement
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and a collaborative mindset
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ideally across multiple client accounts
Desirable skills and experience
• Experience working in an integrated communications agency desirable, but not essential
• Strong digital skills and experience working with tools desirable but not essential as you will receive training on our digital tools (Brandwatch, Onalytica and Traackr)
