Job summary Supporting the Corporate Affairs and Communications function, reporting to Director, Corporate Affairs & Communications, you will be the eyes and ears of all media and social media chatter and intelligence. Delivering daily monitoring and reactive issues monitoring that will help shape, manage and deliver the executive strategy for the leadership team. Support on research and briefings for all positions - to help inform speeches, political meetings, media meetings and BAU / business critical matters. • Monitor for key issues on any matter related to the Chairman and Group CEO and the wider network of businesses, as well as related industry news, throughout the day; • Deliver multiple comprehensive daily media reports based on the above monitoring, in conjunction with the relevant external Communications agencies; • Monitoring for key issues on any matter related to crises and/or special projects, and producing additional compilation reports where needed; • Conduct relevant research into a range of topics, developments, related parties and industry news, and produce comprehensive briefing packs summarising key findings and takeaways; • Support the External Relations Manager on all stakeholder workstreams; • Support Social Responsibility & Internal Communications Manager to conduct relevant research on best practice and benchmarking. Skills required: • Degree educated • Demonstrated research and communications experience within an international organisation and/or top tier international agency • Excellent writing skills • Experience in rapid response research for senior stakeholder management, internal and external communications • Confidence of gathering social media intelligence, sometimes from non-English sources • Fluency in English • All other languages are a bonus • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including letters, briefings, and social media content • Uncompromising attention to detail • Strong work ethic • A highly proactive, organised individual • Critical thinking and adaptability/flexibility • Excellent time management skills with an ability to work to strict deadlines • Top knowledge of sports, entertainment and media sectors in key markets • Cultural awareness of the MENA region and Qatar specifically Salary up to c£37,000 and 5 days based in the office in Central London. • Private medical insurance • Pension (4.17% employee, 8.34% employer contributions) • Discretionary bonus • 25 days holiday per year (and can roll over 5 unused days) • Birthday off • Perkbox • Cycle to Work scheme To find out more about this opportunity, contact Edwina Goldman @ JFL – edwina@jflrecruit.com
