“Processions is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in a mass participation artwork to celebrate 100 years of votes for women.”  On Sunday 10th June, thousands of women across Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh and London will walk together in a march to create a living portrait of women in the 21st century. Women will wear green, white or violet to represent Give Women Votes.

100 YEARS 100 BANNERS

Suffragettes walked the streets holding banners, flags, pins and rosettes to make themselves seen and to attract attention to the cause. To mirror this in the 21st century, 100 years on, “100 women artists are being commissioned to work with communities across the UK to create 100 centenary banners for Processions.”

“As an all-female office, we feel it’s important to celebrate such a fundamental and historic moment for women. We will be wearing green, white and violet in the office on Thursday 7th June and publicizing it all over our social media channels to promote our support as much as we can.” Edwina Goldman, Managing Director at JFL.
