Accountabilities

• Devise and deliver impactful PR plans and campaigns for the brand and across their products and services, for consumer, corporate and trade audiences

• Develop compelling written content for the media including press releases, media statements and op-eds

• Manage reactive media queries

• Build relationships with key media

• Evaluation and reporting, including monthly reports and individual campaign performance

• Understand and stay up to date with the wider environment that the business is operating within, advising the business as required

• Collaboration with the wider marketing team to amplify campaigns, including social media, SEO and content

• Develop PR plans to raise the profile of senior leaders within the business

• Continual integration of earnt media content, with related channels, including social media and SEO

• Management of PR agency relationships

Skills Required

Essential

• Degree level or equivalent – has in-depth knowledge in own discipline, gained through significant work experience

• Demonstrable experience of working within a PR or communications role

• Strong experience in devising and implementing media campaigns and plans

• Experience of managing significant and large communication/PR plans

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to create engaging and compelling content, including press releases, and op-eds

• Ability to work with complex information and distil into PR that will attract media coverage and build brand awareness and reputation

• Experience of managing issues for a business

• Experience of crisis and reactive communications for an organisation

• Experience of monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns

• Experience of developing and managing journalist relationships

• Confident in engaging and working with senior stakeholders

• Knowledge of current affairs and identifying potential areas of opportunity and reputational risk to the business

Desirable

• Has a background in either financial services or health

• Experience in managing PR agencies

• Understanding of social media platforms and creating content for multiple audiences
